Finding information on this website - a guided tour

There are many pages of information on this website, and sometimes it is easy to get lost.  The pages are laid out differently on computer screens / iPads and on smart phones (iPhones, Androids) because of the differences in screen area.

For computer screens and iPads, the key is to scroll up to the top of any web page and look for the navigation menu bar ... the black bar with words HOME, MEMBER UPDATES, etc.  This is how to navigate around the website.  We can selct a page to read using the navigation menu bar. Let's look at the COURSES menu item.  There are several pages in this section of the website; hover your mouse over COURSE and you will see the pages identified.

Click on any of those pages to see that page in your browser.  If you click on a link in that page, it may take you to another page.  To know where you are in the website, just scroll up to the top of the page and you will find the friendly navigation menu again.  If you finish reading an article, just scroll to top of page and select another page from the menu.

On smartphone, it looks different, as we see a "hamburger menu" instead of the top menu bar ... we'll talk of that in a future edition.

Using the Search Box for information on this website

Picture
There are many pages in this website, and from time to time we add or remove a page.  Sometimes it may be challenging to find what you want.  One good way is to use the "search box" on the top right hand side of each page.  Just type a word for what you are interested in, and click on the enter or return key.
Another way is to look at the navigation bar, the black bar at the top of each page.  Hover over each item to see any sub-pages, and hover over those with a >  to see sub-sub-pages.  Click on any of those to go to the page.  This navigation bar is available at the top of every page.

You can click on the "Back to Top" button to jump back to the top of this page.

Missing out on Spotlight?

Our email Spotlight is sent every two weeks (with some exceptions during breaks).  Some members find that their email system places Spotlight in an unusual folder (e.g. spam, trash, updates) because we use a mailing service called Constant Contact.   You can locate it by searching in your email for something sent by  ollispotlight@gmail.com

If you want to receive an emailed Spotlight, please request it by filling out the form to the right.

Some members inadvertently click on the SafeUnsubscribe link in Spotlight, and are cut off from all further issues.  Just request it as above.
