America in the 1960s
What do you remember about the 1960s? Acclaimed historian and author Frye Gaillard presented “America in the 1960s” to almost 100 OLLI members and Galloway Ridge residents on Friday, January 11. The first OLLI Lunch and Learn of 2019, this class included music from the 1960s and a book signing by the author. Read more here.

The New Member 2019 Name Badges are available to pick up at the Bishop’s House and JRC as of Monday, Jan 14. The badges will not be distributed to any offsite class locations.

This walk offers an opportunity not only to learn about the property and its unique characteristics but also to learn about the Duke School and its mission of lifelong learning. After the walk those interested can go to Jason’s Deli at New Hope Commons to socialize over coffee. Read more here.

Erika Hoffman Shares the Craft of Writing

Erika Hoffman writes essays on the craft of writing, published in writerly e-zines, magazines, and anthologies. She’s also taught writing at OLLI and speaks for writing groups and conferences. She’s now compiled them into a collection named Erika’s Take on Writing. Read more here.
